It is finally December 1 and time to begin to Unwrap the Joy of the Christmas season. I truly feel like it’s Christmas right now! My greatest gift this year is getting to share my first written Bible study with all of you. I feel like you’ve walked beside me during this time of writing, and encouraged me every step of the way. Thank you! Thank you for accountability, encouragement, and humor. I truly love this sweet community of Sisters in Christ.
While we have had much excitement and anticipation surrounding this book, we should be prepared to experience even elation as we celebrate the birth of our Savior though a study of God’s Holy Word. What better way to grow closer to God during this season, than to spend time in intimate communion with the Lord. In prayer, reading His Word, discussion, and gathering with like-minded believers, it is my hope that each one of us with capture some special wonder never before experienced when celebrating the birth of our Savior.
That Holy Night oh so long ago changed the world forever. Never before and not again until God sends Him back for us, will the world be so changed. His name would be Immanuel; God with us. He would be born of a virgin; sent down as the greatest gift we could ever receive. Immanuel, the Savior of all of mankind; fully God and yet fully man, willingly taking on flesh to walk among us, and to die for our sins.
I can’t even begin to express the emotions my heart feels as I consider the word “behold”. Look! Stand back! Don’t miss this! That’s what behold is signifying for each one of us. Look up Dear One! Look up! For the Savior of the World will arrive soon. He will be a sign directly from God. A Son, born of a virgin, perfect and pure. He will change your life. Are you ready?
This baby will partake of curds and honey, just as would any other child. Oh, but this Child…this Child would be very different.
