I Am, Hidden In Christ – Day 2

flowers with scriptureWhen it comes to the security of your salvation, does your mind play tricks on you? Do you question whether you are truly saved by Jesus?

I spent much of my life believing that I was saved one day, then questioning the assurance on another.

Does this sound familiar to you?

For more than thirty years I found myself walking in confusion, struggles, and the valleys of life never really knowing if I was going to heaven. I never understood the beauty of being in Christ.

One day when I was about thirty-five that I realized I needed to get things straight with the Lord. I needed to make a real commitment of my life to Him, and then embrace the reality that when I am in Christ, my old life is dead and I have a new life. A real life, often invisible to those around me, yet firmly planted with Christ Jesus.

Colossians 3:3 (ESV) says, “For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.”

I love how The Passion Translation paraphrases this scripture by saying, “Your crucifixion with Christ has severed the tie to this life, and how your true life is hidden away in God in Christ.”

The reality of this scripture is that when Christ died, I died with him. My name was engraved on him as paid my ransom on the cross. When Christ rose to a new life, I too was raised to a new life!

In Him, I am hidden, forever united with Christ Jesus. Sister, if you are in Christ Jesus, you are hidden with him! That means that you have eternal security, access to God’s grace-filled blessings, and you are safe in Him!

Say it with me! I am hidden with Christ, and I am secure.

You cannot lose your salvation. No one can take it away from you, because the King of Kings covers you!

John 10:29 (ESV) is a reminder of the security of your life in Christ, “My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.”

Your truth for today, in Christ, you are secure. God is greater than all, and no one can take you from Him. Once you are in Christ, you are eternally His. The blood of Jesus has purchased you, and you are a daughter of the King!
