Coram Deo is Latin for in the presence of God.
As children of God, we should live every moment of our lives basking in Him omnipresence. We must live like He is with us always because He always is.
God’s purpose for us is always good. For each day He continues to sanctify us on our path to eternal glorification.
When we fully embrace Coram Deo our prayer life should change. Then we will begin praying in faith with expectancy.
So often we pray without the anticipation of an answer. We pray without looking for the miracle. In turn we pray without trusting God; our faith is weak and thus we never anticipate hearing from God.
Joy is found when we live in the Coram Deo. And when we live in the presence of God, knowing beyond any doubt that He goes before us and hedges us in, then prayer changes. Prayer with full faith results in hearing from God and seeing His miracles. In turn faithful expectant prayer directly increases our joy because we can keep our focus clearly on the reality of our future. We are simply passing through in this world. Yes, God has a purpose for us here. But one day, when we have accomplished His purpose, we will spend eternity with Him in heaven.
Joy comes from keeping my gaze on God.
